 MISSION

Genesis Personal Development Center will focus all available resources and services to the restoration of wholeness to women arid children recovering from domestic abuse,

 FULFILLMENT

Through the help and support of our community and church resources, Genesis Personal Development Center is able to offer long term shelter, education, self-help programs, friendship and other resources during this time of transition.

Genesis Personal Development Center is unique to our rural setting.

Many victims escaping violent situations previously were forced to seek services in larger communities. The victims were uprooted and faced additional changes, leaving schools, jobs, friends and family "This additional lack of resources and stress made returning to the abuser an attractive alternative.

Genesis Personal Development Center will change the options, providing the housing and resources necessary for victims to build the skills and confidence to succeed.

Participants will engage in program requirements that will enable them to refine life skills and maintain employment.

Residents of the Genesis House will, become enabled, empowered and independent, leaving with the ability not only to survive, but also to thrive as productive members of the community
